Cowboys Re-Sign RB Trey Williams, Waive OL Bryce Johnson

The Dallas Cowboys announced that they’ve re-signed RB Trey Williams and waived OL Bryce Johnson with a left squad designation.

Williams, 25, originally signed on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M back in 2015. He’s played for a number of teams including the Cowboys, Patriots, Dolphins, and Colts before joining the Steelers this past February on a future/reserve contract.

Unfortunately, the Steelers waived Williams coming out of the preseason. He later signed on to the Cowboys’ practice squad in November and returned to Dallas on a futures contract.

In 2015, Williams appeared in two games and rushed for 12 yards on two carries.
