Dolphins Sign OT Jermon Bushrod To A One-Year Deal

The Miami Dolphins have signed OT Jermon Bushrod to a contract on Thursday, according his agency.

It’s worth mentioning that signing Bushrod to a contract won’t factor into the Dolphins’ 2017 compensatory picks.

Recent reports said that Bushrod was likely to visit with the Vikings and Dolphins, but Miami has been aggressive throughout the day in meeting with and signing players to contracts.

Bushrod, 31, was entering the fourth year of his five-year, $35.965 million contract that included $22.465 million guaranteed when the Bears released him a move that freed up $4.3 million in available cap space.

In 2015, Bushrod appeared in 12 games for the Bears. However, he was limited to playing just 238 total snaps this past season.
