Dolphins WR Armon Binns Signs Exclusive Tender

Dolphins exclusive rights free agents WR Armon Binns officially signed his tender on Wednesday, according to the NFL transactions release.

  • Binns will receive a base salary of $495,000 for the 2014 season.

Binns, 24, signed with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Cincinnati back in 2011. He was later claimed off waivers by the Miami Dolphins in December of 2012. He appeared in 10 games for Miami during the 2012 season, but unfortunately suffered a torn ACL and MCL during the Dolphins’ training camp and subsequently missed the entire 2013 season

Tom Pelissero of USA Today reports that the Dolphins have tendered offers to exclusive rights free agents WR Armon Binns and LB Jonathan Freeny.

  • Pelissero adds that Freeny will make $570,000 next year.

Freeny, 24, signed with he Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers in 2011. He played 26 defensive snaps last year, but managed to contribute 10 tackles on special teams.
