The Philadelphia Eagles announced Thursday that they’ve signed DE Frank Mays and placed WR Will Murphy on waivers to make room for him.

Mays, 24, signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Florida A&M back in May of last year. He was with the team for training camp and part of the preseason before he was among their roster cuts a few weeks before the start of the 2014 season.
Murphy, 24, also signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out Oregon following the 2013 NFL draft. He has been on and off the team’s practice squad, but received a future/reserve contract from Philly back in December of last year.
Both players have yet to appear in an NFL game.
