Eagles Sign LB Emmanuel Acho

The Philadelphia Eagles announced that they’ve re-signed LB Emmanuel Acho to a contract on Monday.

This comes after the news that rookie ILB Jordan Hicks is out for the year with a torn pectoral muscle. The Eagles have already placed him on season-ending injured reserve.

Acho, 24, is a former sixth-round pick of the Browns back in 2012. He spent one year in Cleveland before he was traded to the Eagles in return for RB Dion Lewis.

Acho had a brief stint with the Giants before returning to the Eagles in October of 2013. Philadelphia elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract back in January, but he was unfortunately cut loose at the start of the season.

Last year, Acho appeared in 14 games for the Eagles and recorded 31 tackles.
