Jaguars Make Five Roster Moves

The Jacksonville Jaguars made several roster moves On Thursday.

Here’s the full list:

  • Jaguars waived K Jon Brown.
  • Jaguars activated K Josh Lambo from injured reserve.
  • Jaguars activated DE Josh Mauro from the COVID-19 list.
  • Jaguars promoted TE Ben Ellefson to their active roster.
  • Jaguars placed DT Abry Jones on injured reserve.

Lambo, 29, wound up signing on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M back in 2015. He spent just over two years with the Chargers before he was waived at the start of the 2017 season.

The Jaguars later signed him to a contract during the 2017 season and he has been in Jacksonville ever since.

Lambo was in line to be an unrestricted free agent last year when he agree to a four-year extension worth $15.5 million and $6.5 million in full guarantees. 

In 2020, Lambo has appeared in two games for the Jaguars and converted all three field goal attempts and 6 of 7 extra point tries.

Ellefson, 24, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of North Dakota State in April. He was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and re-signed to their practice squad. 

Ellefson has been on and off of the Jaguars’ roster this year. 

During his college career, Ellefson appeared in 55 games and recorded 35 receptions for 463 yards receiving (13.2 YPC) and 16 touchdowns.
