Jaguars’ Meeting With RB Latavius Murray Concludes Without Deal

Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports that free agent RB Latavius Murray’s visit with the Jaguars has concluded without an agreement in place.

Murray is scheduled to meet with the Seahawks this week, which could possibly take place on Tuesday.

The running back market is starting to pick up with the recent signings of Danny Woodhead, Andre Ellington and Robert Turbin. However, it appears the top tier options such as Murray, Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles and Eddie Lacy are still shopping for the best available deal.

Murray, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2.266 million rookie contract and is now one of the best available running backs in this year’s free agent class.

In 2016, Murray has rushed for 788 yards on 195 carries (4 YPC) to go along with 12 rushing touchdowns and 33 receptions for 264 yards receiving. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 21 running back out of 61 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
