Jets Decline To Activate DE John Franklin-Myers From IR, Despite Designation To Return

On Wednesday, the Jets officially declined to activate DE John Franklin-Myers from injured reserve, despite designating him to return.

This means that Franklin will remain on injured reserve for the final two weeks of the regular season.

Franklin-Myers, 23, is a former fourth-round pick of the Rams back in 2018. The Rams waived him coming out of the preseason and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Jets.

Franklin-Myers is in the second year of his four-year, $2.9 million contract.

In 2018, Franklin-Myers appeared in all 16 games for the Rams and recorded 10 tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and a recovery.
