Kevin Smith Reclaims Starting Job In Detroit

Chris McCosky of the Detroit News reports RB Kevin Smith took reps with Lions first-string offense yesterday.

Smith is coming off of a breakout game for the Lions after tallying just over 200 yards in total offense to go along with the three touchdowns that he scored against the Carolina Panthers. No one saw this kind of performance coming from the Lions group of running backs as a whole, especially when you consider that Smith is coming off of multiple knee injuries.

At this point it’s safe to say that he has reclaimed the Lions starting running back position which leaves Maurice Morris and Keiland Williams as backups.
