Lions Designate CB Jamal Agnew To Return From Injured Reserve

The Detroit Lions announced Wednesday that they’ve designated CB Jamal Agnew to return from injured reserve.

This officially opens a three-week window of time for the Lions to add him to their active roster or he would revert back to injured reserve.

The Lions placed Agnew on injured reserve with a knee injury back in October.

Agnew, 23, is a former fifth-round pick of the Lions back in 2017. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.65 million contract and set to make base salaries of $555,000 and $645,000 over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Agnew has appeared in five games for the Lions and recorded seven tackles, a fumble recovery, a pass defense, 167 kick return yards and 39 punt return yards.
