Lions Having Trouble Keeping RB’s Healthy

Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz confirmed today that RB Jahvid Best did in fact suffer a concussion during Friday nights game and added that they are going to be “very, very cautious” with him in the coming days.

By the next day he was clearing up and I think that’s a big thing,” said Schwartz. “In my experience with guys that have been concussed, usually they finish the game and they feel fine right after the game, and the next day they come in and haven’t slept and all the classic symptoms.”

After losing rookie RB Mikel Leshoure during one of the teams first practices so keeping Best healthy is of the utmost importance this season. Detroit added Jerome Harrison and Mike Bell to their roster but it’s hard to image that such a tandem is going to make their ground-game as productive.
