Lions RB Jahvid Best Expects To Be Cleared For Training Camp

Dave Birkett reports on Twitter that Detroit Lions running back Jahvid Best says he is symptom-free and “not at all concerned” about his concussion problems.

Best, whose 2011 campaign was cut short by a concussion in Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers, has yet to be cleared for contact, but is confident that he will be cleared before training camp begins.

Best’s concussion against the 49ers was his third in two years. His 2009 season at Cal was also ended by a concussion. It remains to be seen whether he will be ready to go come Week 1.
