Lions Working Out RBs Charles Sims, Terrance West & Fitzgerald Toussaint

According to Dave Birkett, the Detroit Lions are bringing in free agent RBs for tryouts on Tuesday including Charles Sims, Terrance West and Fitzgerald Toussaint.

Sims, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $3.104 million contract before returning to the Buccaneers on a one-year contract this past April.

The Buccaneers placed Sims on injured reserve last month before cutting him loose with an injury settlement a few weeks later.

In 2017, Sims appeared in all 16 games for the Buccaneers and rushed for 95 yards on 21 carries (5.9 YPC) to go along with 35 receptions for 249 yards receiving and one touchdown.

West, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Browns back in 2014. He spent just one year in Cleveland before he was traded to the Titans in 2015 for a conditional seventh-round pick.

The Titans cut him loose a few weeks into the 2015 season and West later signed on with the Ravens. Baltimore brought West back on a one-year restricted deal last year.

West signed a one-year contract with the Saints this past June only to cut him during the preseason.

In 2017, West appeared in five games for the Ravens and rushed for 138 yards on 39 carries (3.5 YPC) and two touchdowns to go along with two receptions for 23 yards receiving.
