Lions WR Marvin Jones Getting Second Opinion On Injured Knee

Michael Rothstein of ESPN reports that Lions WR Marvin Jones is getting a second opinion on his injured right knee.

Earlier in the week, Adam Schefter spoke to a source who said that Jones suffered a bone bruise and was considered “day-to-day.” However, the good news is that Jones’ ACL and MCL were intact.

Jones suffered the injury in the second half of Sunday’s game against the Bears and has missed the entire week of practice.

Jones, 28, is a former fifth-round pick of the Bengals back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract before signing a five-year, $40 million contract that includes $20 million guaranteed with the Lions in 2016.

Jones stands to make base salaries of $7 million and $6.5 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Jones has appeared in nine games for the Lions and caught 35 passes for 508 yards receiving and five touchdowns.
