Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that most around the league expect the Eagles to “strongly consider” one of the wide receivers in round one, either in a trade-up or at No. 21 overall.

Fowler says that if Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy, Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb and Alabama’s Henry Ruggs III are off the board early, the depth at receiver could lead to Philadelphia trading back.

“The Eagles have set things up to get Carson [Wentz] help through the draft, so I’ve got to think they will make it happen with a trade or straight up,” an AFC executive tells Fowler. “They have to.”

  • Jeremy Fowler reports that the Redskins are among the teams that have done “serious homework” on Utah State QB Jordan Love.
  • According to NBC Sports Julie Donaldson, the Redskins will pass on former Bears TE Trey Burton despite a need at the position because of questions about Burton’s health.
