NFL GM’s Who Could Be On The Hot Seat

Pro Football Weekly really does a great job of collecting quotes from NFL Insiders around the league for their “Way We Hear It” and “NFL Whispers” posts, so you should really check them out if you have some extra time.

Today, they put together a collection of NFL GM’s who could already be on the hot seat and possibly out of a job by the end of the season. According to NFL Insiders, this group could consist of as many as 8-10 general managers.

Near Locks:

  • Dolphins – Jeff Ireland

 Strong Possibilities: 

  • Jaguars – Gene Smith
  • Chargers – A.J. Smith
  • Chiefs – Scott Pioli
  • Vikings – Rick Spielman

Running Out Of Time: 

  • Jets – Mike Tannenbaum
  • Panthers – Marty Hurney

Longshot Possbilities: 

  • Eagles – Howie Roseman
  • Saints – Mickey Loomis
  • Bills – Buddy Nix

Pro Football Weekly has great quotes for each of the GM’s on this list. The quote about the Vikings is particularly interesting.
