Browns

  • HC Mike Pettine told reporters that WR Josh Gordon will probably play with the first-team offense and see some time with the second unit. (Nate Ulrich)

Dolphins

  • After throwing six interceptions in two practices this week, QB Ryan Tannehill looked much better on Wednesday, although he did throw another interception. (James Walker)
  • Rookie WR Jarvis Landry is making it difficult for the Dolphins coaching staff to keep him off the field. (James Walker)
  • RB Knowshon Moreno returned to practice on Wednesday, but only participated in individual drills. (James Walker)
  • Recently signed C Samson Satele continued to work with the first-team offense and is likely to be the team’s starting center for their first preseason game. (James Walker)

Eagles

Giants

  • HC Tom Coughlin mentioned that first-round pick WR Odell Beckham is “getting close” to returning from his injured hamstring. (Jordan Raanan)

Jets

  • HC Rex Ryan confirmed that they will use a committee approach at running back this season.

“I definitely think it’s going to be the committee approach,” coach Rex Ryan said Tuesday, via Rich Cimini of ESPN. “When you have Chris Ivory and Chris Johnson and Bilal Powell, I would think that’s a pretty safe bet.

Texans

“Right now I’d still say Case is a little bit ahead of Tom,” O’Brien said. “I’d say Tom’s improving. I think Tom’s definitely improving. It’s a battle, it’s definitely a competitive battle, but Case is still slightly ahead of Tom.
