The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday that they’ve signed President and CEO Rich McKay to a five-year contract extension through June of 2022.

Rich has been so important to our businesses and Atlanta’s growth for many years. We are thrilled to extend his contract with the Falcons and AMB Sports & Entertainment,” said Steve Cannon, AMB Group, LLC, chief executive officer. “He has been instrumental in the success of the Atlanta Falcons on and off the field and has played a very important role in making Mercedes-Benz Stadium a reality, and in bringing Major League Soccer to Atlanta. Rich is a great champion of our core values and will continue to be a strong leader in our organization and community for years to come.

  • While the Jets will likely try to sell their quarterback situation as an open competition this summer, Rich Cimini fully expects Josh McCown to be the team’s starter in 2017.
  • However, Cimini puts the over/under line for McCown starts at four. From there, Cimini could see Christian Hackenberg taking over at some point.
Even with the addition of McCown, Cimini isn’t ruling out the Jets drafting another quarterback with UNC’s Mitch
  • Trubisky being someone to keep an eye on.
  • Bryce Petty‘s roster spot could be in jeopardy if the Jets do draft a quarterback.

  • Bob Condotta reports that free agent DL Ricky Jean Francois had a good visit with the Seahawks, but he has yet to sign a contract with the team following the meeting.
