- Ian Rapoport mentions that four GM candidates for the Jets include: George Paton (Vikings), Ryan Pace (Saints), Trent Kirchner (Seahawks), and Will McClay (Cowboys).
Jason La Canfora reports that Texans GM Rick Smith is likely to have an expanded role in the organization in 2015, beyond just football operations.
According to La Canfora, this move could include someone else could taking over the general manager for the Texans.
Texans HC Bill O’Brien is expected to have a “significant say” in the team’s next general manager.
Candidates could include: Eagles personal man Tom Gamble, Patriots college scouting director Jon Robinson, Patriots personnel man Nick Caserio, Texans college scouting director Mike Maccagnan and Texans director of pro personnel Brian Gaine.
