Bills

Bills HC Rex Ryan indicated that there’s a chance he could add his brother, Rob Ryan, to the team’s defensive coaching staff now that he has been fired by the Saints.

“Not going to lie, it would be fun,” Ryan said of the idea, per Vic Carucci.

Chargers

Chargers TE Antonio Gates said he has been trying to convince WR Malcom Floyd (torn labrum) to not retire and play one more season.

“I think he was always etched in stone he was going to retire,” Gates said, via the Union-Tribune San Diego. “But now, I think there’s a little doubt in his mind because of how he went out. I put more doubt in his mind because I want him to come back. I’m like ‘Dude, you can’t go out like this.'”

Eagles

• Ed Werder reports that Eagles QB Sam Bradford is in the NFL concussion protocol and having MRI today to determine severity of his left shoulder injury.
