NFL Rumors: Bears, Bills, Jaguars, Jets, Redskins

Bears

  • Adam Jahns reports have the Bears have or had interest in some of the top cornerbacks in this year’s market including Stephon Gilmore (signed), A.J. Bouye and Logan Ryan.
  • ESPN’s Jeff Dickerson reports that the Bears have made a “strong offer” to free agent CB A.J. Bouye. Dickerson adds that he isn’t sure if they’ll land him, but their interest is “very real.”

Bills

  • Sal Carpaccio reports that one of the reasons Tyrod Taylor agreed to stay with the Bills was the uncertainty surround the Jets and Browns, who were reportedly interested in him.

Jaguars

  • Jason Cole reports that the Jaguars could overhaul their offensive line pretty substantially today by completing the trade with the Dolphins for LT Branden Albert and signing G Kevin Zeitler.

Jets

  • According to Jason La Canfora, Jay Cutler could be a target for the Jets as long as the price is right.
  • La Canfora adds that the Jets would also like the quarterbacks in this year’s draft.

Redskins

  • According to John Keim, free agent DL Chris Bakeris gone.” The Buccaneers and Broncos are teams to watch for him.
  • A strong target, according to Keim, is Cowboys DT Terrell McClain.
