Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that Northwestern QB Clayton Thorson has worked out for the Saints and Broncos and will visit with the Redskins and Panthers.

Thorson, 6-4, 226lb, was a four-year starter at Northwestern. NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein has compared him to Packers backup QB DeShone Kizer.

Thorson is considered to be a mid-round pick by some draft analysts.

During his four-year college career at Northwestern, Thorson threw for 10,731 yards while completing 58.4 percent of his passes to go along with 61 touchdowns and 45 interceptions over the course of 53 games.
