Packers Promote RB Tra Carson, Waive DE Fadol Brown

The Green Bay Packers have promoted RB Tra Carson to their active roster and waived DE Fadol Brown on Saturday, according to Field Yates.

The Packers had just to healthy running back on their roster with Jamaal Williams out for Sunday’s game with a concussion.

Carson, 26, originally signed on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M back in 2016. After being waived and signed to their practice squad, Carson was eventually promoted to the Bengals’ active roster.

Carson was in the final year of a three-year, $1.47 million contract when he was waived with an injury designation. The Bengals later cut Carson loose with an injury settlement and he eventually signed on to the Packers’ practice squad.

Green Bay waived Carson coming out of the preseason and re-signed him to the taxi squad.

In 2018, Carson appeared in four games for the Bengals but did receive a carry.
