Panthers Re-Sign LB Ben Jacobs

The Carolina Panthers announced that they’ve re-signed exclusive rights free agent LB Ben Jacobs on Wednesday.

Jacobs, 27, wound up signing on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Fresno State back in 2011. He spent over a year in Cleveland before briefly playing for the Bengals and later signing a future/reserve contract with the Panthers at the end of the 2014 season.

Jacobs returned to Carolina last year on a one-year exclusive rights deal.

In 2015, Jacobs appeared in all 16 games for the Panthers and recorded 15 tackles.
