Panthers Re-Sign DE Wes Horton To One-Year Deal

The Carolina Panthers made it official on Tuesday by announcing that they’ve signed DE Wes Horton to a one-year contract.

Horton announced the agreement last Friday via his Twitter account.

Horton, 25, also signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out USC back in 2013. He was in the final year of his three-year, $1.485 million rookie contract when the Panthers cut him a few months ago.

However, Carolina later re-signed him to a contract a week into October. Horton was reinstated after being suspended four games, but Carolina elected to waive him from their exempt list before later adding him to their practice squad.

In 2015, Horton appeared in eight games and recorded seven tackles and a sack for the Panthers.
