Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Patriots and 49ers are discussing a trade involving OT Trent Brown.

The Patriots are clearly in the market for offensive tackle help after losing Nate Solder in free agency and Brown’s name has come up as a potential trade candidate, so we’ll have to see if he gets moved during Day 2 of the draft.

Brown, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the 49ers back in 2015. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2.28 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.

In 2017, Brown appeared in 10 games for the 49ers and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 21 offensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players.
