Patriots Tried Out 8 Players Including WR Max McCaffrey & QB Sean Renfree

Mike Reiss of ESPN reports that the Patriots brought in eight players for tryouts on Wednesday including: WR Da’Ron Brown, LB Deon King, WR Jordan Leslie, DE B.J. McBryde, WR Max McCaffrey, QB Sean Renfree, WR Mekale McKay and WR DeAndrew White.

McCaffrey, 25, wound up signing on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Duke back in May. He signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Raiders before he was unfortunately among their roster cuts last week.

During his college career at Duke, McCaffrey caught 117 passes for 1,341 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns.

Renfree, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Falcons back in 2013. He is in the final year of his four-year, $2.206 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season when the Falcons cut him loose a few weeks ago.

Last year, Renfree appeared in two games for the Falcons and completed three of seven pass attempts for 11 yards and an interception.
