Rams Re-Signing LT Andrew Whitworth To Three-Year Contract

Rams’ veteran LT Andrew Whitworth‘s representation, SportsTrust Advisors, announced that their client signed a three-year extension with Los Angeles.

Two days ago, the Rams were reportedly working to re-sign Whitworth along with C Austin Blythe, DL Michael Brockers and pass rusher Dante Fowler, so this doesn’t come as a surprise. (NFLTR)

Whitworth, 38, is a former second-round pick of the Bengals back in 2006. He spent 11 years in Cincinnati before signing a three-year, $33.75 million contract that included $15 million guaranteed with the Rams in 2017.

Whitworth made a base salary of $10.25 million for the 2019 season. He was set to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2019, Whitworth started all 16 games for the Rams. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 28 offensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players.
