Ravens Also Tried Out Saints RFA Willie Snead

According to Field Yates, the Ravens also tried out Saints RFA Willie Snead on Friday along with free agent WR Michael Floyd.

Previous reports had said that Snead visited with the Ravens, but it appears as though they wanted to bring him back for a tryout.

The Saints used the right of first refusal restricted tender on Williams, which means they can match an offer sheet he receives from another team. However, they would not receive any draft pick compensation if they were to decline to match the offer.

Snead, 25, originally signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent back in 2014. He lasted just a few months in Cleveland before signing on to the Panthers’ practice squad during his rookie season. Snead eventually joined the Saints towards the end of the year and returned to the team on a future/reserve contract.

The Saints re-signed Snead to a one-year exclusive rights deal last year.

In 2017, Snead appeared in 11 games for the Saints and caught eight passes for 92 yards receiving and no touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 76 receiver out of 116 qualifying players.
