Ravens Plan To Start QB Lamar Jackson For Week 13

Mike Garafolo reports that the Ravens are planning to start Lamar Jackson at quarterback for Week 13’s game against the Falcons, while Joe Flacco has not yet been cleared from his hip injury.

Garafolo adds that Flacco’s status could change in the coming days, but this could be the third straight game Jackson would start.

Last week, Jason La Canfora reported that Flacco was set to return by Tuesday’s practice after resting his injured hip for the past two weeks.

However, La Canfora adds that Flacco’s starting status would be “unclear” moving forward and if Jackson beat the Raiders in Week 12, which they did 34-17.

Jackson, 21, was taken with the No. 32 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft by the Ravens. He agreed to a four-year, $9,471,652 contract that includes a $5,968,472 signing bonus.

The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Ravens to pick up in 2021.

In 2018, Jackson has appeared in 19 games for the Ravens and completed 64.5 percent of his pass attempts for 237 yards and one touchdown and one interception. He has also rushed for 258 yards on 54 carries (4.8 YPA) to go along with one touchdown.
