Ray Rice Expects To Play In Week 4

Update:

Ravens RB Ray Rice mentioned that he expects to return from his hip flexor injury and play in Week 4’s game against the Bills, per Aaron Wilson.

Rice was able to participate in the team’s Wednesday practice, which is obviously a good sign for his status this weekend.

It’s worth noting that there’s still a chance that Rice could be held for another week, so we’ll have to see how practice goes for the remainder of the week before knowing for certain whether or not he’ll be available.

Aaron Wilson reports that a source has informed him that Ravens RB Ray Rice‘s hip flexor strain is regarded as “two-week injury.”

Wilson adds that Bernard Pierce is slated to be the Ravens starting running back against the Texans this weekend.

Pierce should see plenty of work on Sunday, but it would make sense for Baltimore to get FB Vonta Leach involved to some degree as well.

We’ll have to see how Rice is holding up throughout the week, but he appears to be questionable for Week 4’s match up against the Broncos.

Baltimore Ravens HC John Harbaugh told reporters on Friday that RB Ray Rice will be a game-time decision.

Rice has been listed as questionable throughout the week following a hip injury he suffered against the Browns last weekend.

The Ravens have already hinted that Bernard Pierce could handle the ground game against the Texans should Rice be unable to suit up.

I could see Baltimore holding Rice out of Sunday’s game to allow him more time to get his hip flexor closer to being 100 percent.

We’ll have more regarding Rice’s status leading to up kickoff.
