Redskins Place DB Trenton Robinson On I.R. After Clearing Waivers

The Washington Redskins officially placed DB Trenton Robinson on season-ending injured reserve Monday after he passed through waivers unclaimed.

Robinson had been dealing with a hamstring injury when he was waived with the injury designation a few days ago.

Robinson, 25, is a former sixth round pick of the 49ers back in 2012. He spent a little over year in San Francisco before he was waived at the start of the 2013 season.

He briefly played for the Eagles before joining the Redskins later on in the 2013 season. Washington elected to bring Robinson back on a one-year deal this past March. Robinson will make a base salary of $660,000 for the 2015 season.
