Report: Eagles & Chiefs Have Discussed A Trade For Nick Foles

Mike Garafolo of USA TODAY reports that the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs have discussed the possibility of trading QB Nick Foles this week.

Garafolo adds that “no progress has been made” towards a potential agreement. The source added that the Eagles have maintained that “they like Foles and plan on giving him a chance to compete with Michael Vick for the starting job.

Interestingly enough, Chiefs HC Andy Reid told reporters earlier in the day that Foles wasn’t available and later discussed a potential deal with the Eagles. Things could obviously change in the next few weeks as the offseason begins to unfold.

Garafolo’s source added that the Chiefs haven’t approached QB Matt Cassel regarding a pay cut, which is a pretty clear indication that he’ll be released in the coming weeks.
