Report: Jets Could Still Be In The Market For Another Tight End

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that sources have informed him that the Jets have held internal discussions regarding free agent tight ends Brandon Pettigrew, Ed Dickson and Scott Chandler.

The Jets just reached an agreed with TE Jeff Cumberland on a three-year contract, but it appears as though they could still be in the market for more help at tight end.

Ben Volin of the Boston Globe reported earlier in the day that the Jets were one of a few teams to already express interest in TE Jermichael Finley, even though he has yet to be officially cleared following a neck procedure.

New York could always wait until the draft to add another tight end. We have them selecting UNC TE Eric Ebron in our most recent 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
