Saints Re-Signing CB Sterling Moore

Nick Underhill reports that the Saints are re-signing veteran CB Sterling Moore to a contract on Thursday.

Moore, 27, originally signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Methodist back in 2011. However, he lasted just a few months in Oakland before he was waived a few weeks into his rookie season.

Moore bounced around a bit with the Patriots, Cowboys, Buccaneers and before signing a one-year contract with the Saints right before the start of the 2016 regular season. Moore returned to the Saints on a one-year, $900,000 this past March and has been on and off of their roster throughout the season.

In 2017, Moore has appeared in five games for the Saints and recorded five tackles, a forced fumble and two pass defenses.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
