Titans HC Ken Whisenhunt announced that S Bernard Pollard has a ruptured Achilles and is out for the remainder of the 2014 season, per Terry McCormick.
It was clear that the injury was severe given that Pollard was seen leaving the Titans’ locker room following Sunday’s loss on crutches.
Pollard, 29, signed a two-year, $6.3 million contract with the Titans back in March. He base salaries of $1.65 million and $3.1 million coming his way over the course of the deal.
Pollard’s 2014 season ends with him appearing in five games and recording 27 tackles, one sack and a pass defense.
