The Tennessee Titans announced that they have signed their fifth-round pick LB Avery Williamson.
Williamson projects as an inside linebacker with Tennessee. He is regarded as a physical player, and likely a special teams ace at least. Williamson is a capable blitzer, but needs to improve in coverage.
Considering the lack of established options Tennessee has in the middle of their linebacking corps, it is very possible that Williamson could compete for a starting job, likely with Wesley Woodyard and Colin McCarthy.
Williamson registered 102 tackles and one sack in his senior season at the University of Kentucky.
