Titans Sign OT Will Svitek & Add TE Brett Brackett To Practice Squad

Update:

The Titans officially announced the signing of veteran OT Will Svitek on Wednesday as well as the additional of TE Brett Brackett to their practice squad.

Brackett, 26, actually signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State back in 2011, but was later waived from the team’s practice squad in September. He has since had brief stints with the Jaguars, Eagles and Cardinals.

Tennessee signed him to a contract last week before waiving him a few days ago.

The Tennessee Titans are reportedly signing veteran OT Will Svitek to a contract, according to John Glennon.

Tennessee unfortunately lost Michael Roos for the season last week and currently have first-round pick Taylor Lewan and Michael Oher as their top-two offensive tackles.

Svitek, 32, is a former sixth round pick of the Chiefs. He spent three years with Kansas City before he was placed on waivers at the start of the 2012 regular season.

Svitek later caught on with the Falcons and Patriots before the Bengals brought him in back in June. However, he was unable to make their 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.

Last year, he appeared in 13 games while playing for the Patriots, but limited to playing just 238 total snaps.
