Adam Schefter reports that the Colts are trading CB Nate Hairston to the Jets for a 2020 sixth-round pick.
The Jets had made it clear they were looking to bolster their depth at the cornerback position and it appears as though they settled on Hairston as an addition.
Hairston, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Colts back in 2017. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.66 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $645,000 and $735,000 over the final two years of the agreement.
In 2018, Hairston appeared in 13 games for the Colts and recorded 30 tackles, no interceptions and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 109 cornerback out of 112 qualifying players.
