Vikings Activate LB Anthony Barr & DE Ifeadi Odenigbo From COVID-19 List, Cut Two

The Minnesota Vikings officially activated LB Anthony Barr and DE Ifeadi Odenigbo from the COVID-19 list on Monday.

Other roster moves from the Vikings:

  • Vikings placed LB Ben Gedeon on the PUP list.
  • Vikings waived WR Davion Davis and DB Kemon Hall.
  • Vikings activated WR Quartney Davis from the non-football injury list.

Barr, 28, was taken with the No. 9 overall pick by the Vikings back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year $12,743,500 rookie contract and made a base salary of $2,157,750 for the 2017 season.

The Vikings elected to pick up his Barr’s fifth-year option, which paid him around $12.306 million for the 2018 season. He entered unrestricted free agency in 2019 and, after initially committing to the Jets, returned to the Vikings on a five-year, $67.5 million deal.

In 2019, Barr appeared in 14 games for the Vikings and recorded 79 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble, one recovery, one interception, one safety and four pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 56 linebacker out of 89 qualifying players.
