Vikings Sign 5 Draft Picks Including 3rd-Rd C Pat Elflein

The Minnesota Vikings announced that they’ve signed five draft picks to four-year rookie contracts on Tuesday including third-round C Pat Elflein to a four-year rookie contract.

The other players signed by Minnesota include:

  • Sixth-round TE Bucky Hodges.
  • Seventh-round LB Elijah Lee
  • Seventh-round S Jack Tocho
  • Sventh-round WR Stacy Coley

Elflein, 22, was selected by the Vikings with the No. 70 overall pick after they elected to trade up from No. 79 with the Jets. In total, the Vikings gave up a third- and fifth-round pick in this year’s draft for the right to select Elflein.

According to OverTheCap.com, Elflein will receive a four-year contract worth $3,336,840, which includes a signing bonus of $936,840.

During his four-year college career at Ohio State, Elflein earned first-team All-American and first-team All-Big 10 honors. He was also voted to Big-10 offensive lineman of the year and won the Rimington Trophy for being voted as the best center in college football.
