Vikings Re-Sign S Cedric Thompson To Practice Squad

The Minnesota Vikings announced Monday that they’ve re-signed S Cedric Thompson to their practice squad.

The Vikings’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. RB CJ Ham
  2. DT Toby Johnson
  3. WR Moritz Boehringer
  4. WR Isaac Fruechte
  5. DB Tre Roberson
  6. DE Sterling Bailey
  7. OT Austin Shepherd
  8. TE MyCole Pruitt
  9. RB Bishop Sankey
  10. Cedric Thompson

Thompson, 23, is a former fifth-round pick of the Dolphins in 2015. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason last year, but was added to the Dolphins’ practice squad at the start of the season.

The Patriots would later sign him to their active roster before bringing him back on a future/reserve contract this past January. New England decided to waive Thompson back in August.

The Vikings signed him to their practice squad last month before cutting him loose last week.

Thompson has yet to appear in an NFL game.
