AFC East Notes: Bills, Dolphins, Jets, Patriots

Bills

Dolphins

As the Dolphins start their rebuild, WR Kenny Stills says he’s somewhat surprised he’s still on the team.

“Yeah, every offseason you kind of have those questions,” Stills said, via the Miami Herald’s Adam Beasley. “You can get moved at any point. Definitely it came across my mind, people asking me about it, but like I said, all I know is I can handle myself, making sure I’m healthy, making sure I’m ready to play. I haven’t played my best football yet.”

New HC Brian Flores has already made a strong impression on the team despite limited contact.

“It’s interesting just to see how everybody’s already responded to it,” Dolphins RB Kenyan Drake said via Pro Football Talk. “It hasn’t been necessarily him saying much, because he didn’t necessarily say much. He just kind of has this air about him where people are already ready to run through a wall for him.”

  • Ian Rapoport reports that the Dolphins are hosting Oregon EDGE Justin Hollins for a pre-draft visit on Monday.

Jets

Jets HC Adam Gase says he’s giving the entire team a “fresh start” and a clean slate going forward.

“[I want to] let those guys know, whatever happened before, I really don’t care,” Gase said via ESPN’s Rich Cimini. “Whoever you are from this day forward, that’s who I’m going to know. You could’ve been late, disruptive and a terrible football player. When April 8 starts, you can be on time, great in the locker room and play well — and that’s what I’m going to know.”
