AFC West Notes: Broncos, Chargers, Raiders

Broncos

KUSA’s Mike Klis lists a number of inside linebacker prospects the Broncos could try and target in the draft, as they’re looking for a player with more aptitude in coverage than their current options, including:

Chargers

  • NBC Sports’ Peter King writes that while some think Chargers GM Tom Telesco is high on Oregon QB Justin Herbert, HC Anthony Lynn is legitimately bullish on QB Tyrod Taylor, which could push the team toward taking an offensive tackle.
  • Per ViSN, former NFL GM and Patriots exec Michael Lombardi says he’s heard the Chargers are in on Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa but they like an offensive tackle. He adds the team typically plays things close to the vest.

Raiders

  • Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer says he’s been told Raiders HC Jon Gruden is looking for a “Z” receiver, which Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy is the prototype for.
  • Breer adds the Raiders would like to trade down and add a second-round pick if possible.
  • NBC Sports’ Peter King writes that Oklahoma WR CeeDee Lamb seems like a logical fit for the Raiders.
  • He adds he could see the Raiders trying to trade up from No. 19 for Florida CB C.J. Henderson
