Bills To Activate RB C.J. Spiller, Involvement To Be Gauged This Week

Buffalo Bills Head Coach Doug Marrone said that RB C.J. Spiller is cleared to return and will be added to the active roster this week, but his readiness for Sunday is yet to be determined.

Spiller broke his collarbone on October 19th, and it seems like a sound decision for the coaching staff to want to test it out in practice before committing him to the game against Oakland.

The Bills remain in the hunt for a playoff position, but they have found some success on the ground using the trio of RB Fred Jackson, RB Anthony Dixon, and RB Bryce Brown.

Spiller is set to become a free agent this offseason, and he likely wants to get back on the field before the season ends.  The coaching staff could have a very difficult decision on their hands.

Spiller has 287 yards this season on 69 carries, good for 4.2 yards per carry.  He has added 109 receiving yards, and two total touchdowns.
