Patriots, Chiefs, Ravens, Saints, Eagles, Seahawks Preparing To Be Buyers At Deadline

According to Jason La Canfora, the Chiefs, Eagles, Patriots, Ravens, Saints and Seahawks have been active in expressing trade interest ahead of the coming deadline to fortify what they see as potential Super Bowl-caliber teams.

Several of these teams have already been involved in discussions for Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey and La Canfora mentions the Saints, Ravens, Chiefs, and Eagles as teams looking to bolster their secondary.

Broncos CB Chris Harris could potentially serve as a consolation to whatever teams miss on Ramsey or if Jacksonville holds firm to their star corner.

La Canfora also adds the Eagles could try again to land Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson when he returns from his six-game suspension if the Cardinals continue to struggle.

The Patriots and Saints are expected to look into upgrading their pass catchers, with Bengals WR A.J. Green and TE Tyler Eifert potential options, per La Canfora. The Saints would also be interested in Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders if Denver makes him available after inquiring for the veteran last year.

Baltimore has already made a few moves to shake up its defense, and La Canfora says the Ravens would likely be interested in Broncos DE Derek Wolfe or any other pass rushers who become available. Those options could include Redskins DE Ryan Kerrigan or Bengals DT Geno Atkins or DE Carlos Dunlap

To this point, Redskins GM Bruce Allen has refused to trade LT Trent Williams despite the veteran following through on his vow never to play for the team again through five weeks in 2019. However, La Canfora reports that some in the league believe owner Dan Snyder will eventually step in and allow Williams to be moved.

We’ll have more regarding potential deadline trades as the news is available.
