The New England Patriots have signed G Jamil Douglas to their practice squad on Tuesday and waived OL Ian Silberman from the unit.
The Patriots’ practice squad now consists of:
- RB Bishop Sankey
- G Chris Barker
- WR Devin Lucien
- SÂ Vinnie Sunseri
- WR DeAndrew White
- G Chase Farris
- G Jamil Douglas
- WR Shaq Evans
- RB Tyler Gaffney
- FB Glenn Gronkowski
Douglas, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Dolphins back in May of last year. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2,798,564 contract and stands to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.
The Dolphins elected to waive Douglas coming out of the preseason but he was signed to their practice squad just a day later. Miami called him up a few weeks ago before recently cutting him loose.
In 2015, Douglas appeared in all 16 games for the Dolphins.
