Report: Former Lions RB Jahvid Best Joining University of Cal Coaching Staff

According to GoldenBear.com, sources have informed them that former Lions RB Jahvid Best will be joining the University of California coaching staff and intends to finish his degree in the process.

Best, 24, was taken in the first-round of the 2010 NFL Draft, but his career was cut short due to multiple concussions he suffered over the course of his football career. He last played in a game on October 16, 2011 and has since been told that doctors would not clear him to play.

Best finished his NFL career with 945 yards rushing to go along with another 774 yards receiving and total touchdowns.
