Saints Sign P Thomas Morstead To Five-Year Extension

The Saints have signed P Thomas Morstead to a five-year contract extension on Friday, according to Herbie Teope.

Morstead has confirmed the news via his Twitter account:

Morstead, 32, is a former fifth-round pick of the Saints back in 2009. He has played all nine years of his NFL career with the Saints.

Morstead was in final year of his seven-year, $23.16 million that included $6.925 million guaranteed and set to make a base salary of $3.55 million for the 2018 season.

In 2017, Morstead appeared in all 16 games for the Saints and totaled 2,573 punt yards on 60 attempts (42.88 YPA) to go along with three touchbacks.
