Steelers Sign RB Trey Edmunds To Practice Squad, Release RB Jarvion Franklin

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that they’ve signed RB Trey Edmunds to their practice squad and released RB Jarvion Franklin from the unit.

The Steelers’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. LB Keion Adams
  2. CB Brian Allen
  3. WR Trey Griffey
  4. TE Bucky Hodges
  5. DE Lavon Hooks
  6. LB Farrington Huguenin
  7. WR Tevin Jones
  8. C Patrick Morris
  9. OL R.J. Prince
  10. TE Christian Scotland-Williamson (International)
  11. RB Trey Edmunds

Edmunds, 23, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Maryland last year and managed to make the 53-man roster. He is in the second year of his Signed a three-year, $1.66 million contract when the Saints waived him coming out of the preseason.

In 2017, Edmunds appeared in all 16 games for the Saints and rushed for 48 yards on nine carries to go along with one touchdown and 65 kick return yards.
